Sometimes you're just better off not knowing....
As I have mentioned a few times before, I wasn't sure exactly how far I should go with regard to more adult themes, particularly in the early years of the strip; deciding on the appropriate balance took a while. This particular strip stretched the boundaries just a little bit further.
Beginning around this storyline, I was also increasingly experimenting with more advanced colouring techniques and learning more about what I could do with my software. It was a time consuming self-learning process with lots of trial and error, and admittedly the results often looked quite overworked, but I learned quite a bit through it. I was especially pleased with how well the steamy windows turned out in panel four; Liska's expression pretty much says it all...
