One of my favorite comic devices is when an overconfident character shows their hubris by sarcasticly asking the person giving them advice a condescending question, only to have subsequent events answer that question in the worst way possible... In this case, the result is one of those rare instances where Liska receives come-uppance for her actions rather than Skippy.
This is potentially one of the more dangerous situations Skippy and Liska find themselves in as they are both quite out of their element here and subject to the forbearance of characters more competent than their usual adversaries...
