For me, this strip was one of the payoffs for the storyline as I've always been interested in the divide between ethics and morality, and Liska, like a lot of other very "moral" people, certainly seems to appreciate how the difference can be made to work to her advantage.
This strip is also another example of how I pulled my punches early on, as I was not certain how far I could go and how risque I could be. The punchline I originally wanted to go with read "To hell with ethics" which in my mind was a lot funnier and more ironic given the subject matter, but I watered it down to "heck" to avoid overly offending anybody. If I were to do it today, I'd probably go with my first impulse.
