This plotline is another example of how a story can almost write itself organically from a single idea if you have the solid foundation of a decent cast of characters you can relate to. In this case, once the premise of giving Liska a circular saw occurred to me, the writing process was practically automatic.
It also raises the question of what really would happen if those chainsaw wielding maniacs from the films put their talents to better use. Jason could have built himself a nice, quiet cottage by the lake, but nooo....
