It's often satisfying to end a story with a bit of a bait-and-switch, where it looks like Liska takes something fairly constructive away from the experience but then manages to ironically shine a spotlight on it's less positive aspects.
The conclusion also served the convenient purpose of foreshadowing ominous events that would occur a few months hence...
This strip is especially notable for marking the transition from presenting the comic in gif to jpg format. By this point, the complexity in the colouring was such that jpeg was simply the more effective choice from here on out.
