Some questions were never meant to be answered...
As I've mentioned previously, Skippy and Liska's relationship is a bit ambiguous... Sometimes it's a simple odd-couple friendship... sometimes it's an awkward romance... and sometimes there's a sort of squabbling sibling aspect to it. With this strip I wanted to show how the interspecies aspect only adds to the incongruity of their situation.
With the fourth panel I experimented a bit with negative colour filters. The end effect wasn't quite what I was going for, or as successfully implemented as I've seen in other artwork, but it does lend a certain feeling of "wrongness" to Liska's actions. This is their first kiss when both of them are sober... :)
