I was a bit nervous about running with this strip's gag and it's potential to offend certain readers, but the subplot about political correctness gone out of control called for a shockingly politically incorrect ironic punchline at the end to express the absurdity of the situation.
In our well meaning effort not to offend anybody these days, we run the risk of patronizing everybody, which can be just as offensive. Either way, Skippy can't win. :) |
