This is probably the first storyline where we see evidence that Skippy has actually come to like Liska, at least a little bit.
Up until now, we've only seen him worried about the horrible things she might do and the terrible disasters she might cause for the people around her. But now we see that he's also genuinely concerned for her well being as well. It's his first indirect acknowledgement that she's become more than just some anoying intruder in his life.
Of course, as we have also seen, worry over Liska's well being is typically misplaced; she takes care of herself pretty well. :)
