Mynarski Forest Official Mirror Archive
The inspiration for this storyline came along when I was researching the red fox's life cycle for the EncycVulpedia, and it occurred to me that it was a cute (or perhaps frightening?) coincidence that their mating season fell roughly around mid-February.
The disturbing notion of Liska being subject to an uncontrollable flood of raging hormones once a year certainly brings a whole new meaning to the concept of a St. Valentine's Day Massacre. This was another one of those Clavin and Hobbes inspired documentary-style strips that provided a fun and challenging departure from drawing in my usual style. Unfortunately, I remember I was forced to redraw the first panel when I realized the poses I had drawn in the original inadvertently looked just a little, uhm, "non-family rated" and had to do a rush job to replace them. :) |
